Nammo, a Norway-based international aerospace and defense company, is slated to establish a logistic center in Sedalia, Missouri (near Kansas City).
According to Area Development, Nammo will be housing its newly formed subsidiary – Capstone Precision Group – by investing approximately $1 million for 30,000 square foot facility, to be operational by December 2017. Area Development reports that this facility will be Capstone’s US logistics center for commercial ammunition brands – Lapua, Berger, VihtaVuori, and SK.
Nammo is an international aerospace and defense company headquartered in Raufoss, Norway. It comprise of 2200 employees across more than 30 sites and offices in 14 countries. The company is a provider of ammunition and rocket engines for military and civilian customers.
The company was founded in 1998, based on a merger of three major Nordic defense companies: Celsius AB, Patria Oyj, and Raufoss ASA. Currently the Nammo Group’s shareholders are the Norwegian Government represented by the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries (50%) and the Finnish Defense and Aerospace Group, Patria Oyj (50%).
