Germany based Muhr Metalltechnik is set to expand into North America with a plant in South Carolina investing $12.6 MN with new subsidiary MM Technics. It is constructing a metal stamping facility in Newberry County creating 65 jobs over the next five years.
The planned facility of 40,000-square foot in Newberry County will commence construction in January of 2017. It is expected to be operational by November of 2017. Muhr Metalltechnik manufactures products for more than 30 automobiles companies in Europe, the American plant will follow similar trend of supplying products to those companies that have manufacturing base in America.
