TURKEY > Germany’s Bosch Invests TL 650 million ($184.2 million) in Turkey


German giant Bosch has invested TL 650 million ($184.2 million) in Turkey and the investment will primarily go to Bursa. Bursa has been a stronghold for Turkey for Bosch and Turkey itself has received the fourth largest investment in Bosch worldwide investment scale. Turkey itself is an important country for all the multinationals as it is the second largest country in Europe and fifth largest country in the world.

The year 2016 was a great year for Bosch as the worldwide turnover increased by 3.6 % last year to $73.1 billion and it also increased the number of employees to 390,000. Bosch Turkey’s turnover increased by 14% to TL 12 billion ($3.4 billion) and the number of employees have also increased to more than 17000 employees.

Bosch – as a group – has invested TL 750 million ($212.6 million) in Turkey. Bosch Turkey has also executed a prestigious project of installing security system and installed all security cameras including software and hardware in the Eurasia Tunnel- the tunnel which connects two continents.

Bosch has 250 worldwide production facilities divided into four categories namely mobility solutions, consumer goods, industrial technology and energy and building technology.
