USA based Johnson & Johnson expands biotech plant investing 22 million Swiss Francs ($22.7 million). The subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson Cilag AG will utilize the money to expand the biotech plant for the production of sterile products for clinical studies. Cilag AG will install modern filling machine by 2019 and it also plans to add an additional filing line for vials by the year after.
Increasing flexibility and making quicker access to the products is the main aim for the expansion of the plant which has been in operation since 2008. According to Cilag AG statement spokesperson, the decision to invest 22 million francs ($22.7 million) shows the importance of Cilag AG for strategic site development, marketing and production in the Johnson & Johnson group.
