SOUTH KOREA > China based Sungrow is expanding its presence in emerging APAC solar markets particularly in South Korea and Vietnam

The global leading inverter solution supplier, Sungrow, is expanding to South Korea and Vietnam. The company will have a brand presence at the Green Energy Expo Korea and the Solar Show in Vietnam in April.

South Korea is expected to grow into a 37 GW market by 2030 for PV installation due to the “Renewable Energy 2030” Plan. Providing complete solutions for central central inverters, string inverters, power control systems (PCS) for energy storage system (ESS), and ONE-STOP solution for floating PV power plants, Sungrow is aiming to address a wide variety of demands from the market. Sungrow designed SC500 energy storage inverter specially for the ESS market in South Korea and its other products include SG1000 containerized turnkey station and SG50KTL-M string inverter and also a floating system of PV power stations.

Sungrow is also aiming for the Vietnam market in the APAC region and its products include 1500V product series, i.e. the 2.5MW medium voltage turnkey station SG2500HV-MV and the world’s most powerful string inverter SG125HV, is its floating solution for PV plants..

According to  Prof. Renxian Cao, President of Sungrow:

. “We are determined to explore new PV markets while consolidating our leading role in the established ones. Meanwhile, we will continue to strengthen our R&D capability to meet diversified needs from our global clients.”

In the year 2017, due to strong performance in China, India, Japan, Europe and the US, Sungrow grew rapidly shipping 16.5GW of PV inverters worldwide. Sungrow also holds the largest market share in India in Q42017 to a 27% while the above mentioned markets are also witnessing stronger demands for ESS and floating PV power plant solutions.
