Due to business growth, Magna Mirror has relocated to a larger facility investing $30 million and creating additional 150 new jobs. The new investment will go primarily to refurbish the building and install a new automated paint line.

Almost twice the size of the existing facility, the new factory will be 27,820 square meters. Magna is already serving its customers from the new location but the paint line is only expected to be operational in early 2019.

Magna was established in Slovakia 20 twenty years ago and is locally known as Slovteca. It currently employs 630 employees that make exterior mirrors, prismatic and electrochromic interior mirrors, turn signal and puddle lights.

Magna Slovakia or Slovteca was named the Best Place to Work in Slovakia in 2016. It supplies to more than 80 different locations to 20 different customers worldwide.

According to John O’Hara, President of Magna Mirrors

“As our business in Europe continues to grow, we are making investments to deliver even greater levels of value and satisfaction to our customers. To the Slovteca team I say congratulations for a strong record of performance and keep up the good work as you begin operations at your new location.”
