US based Arthrex is expanding into Italy by setting up an office tower in North Naples. The first phase of construction includes the elevator shafts and stair towers for creating the company’s new event and administrative building in Creekside Commerce Park off Immokalee Road.
According to Lisa Gardiner, a spokeswoman for Arthrex,:
“Activities will continue to increase over the coming months. The project is progressing on schedule with completion expected at the end of 2019.”
East of the post office, Arthrex growth will be supported by the 122 foot tower and the building is expected to stretch six stories and 300000 square feet. This includes ample meeting room space, a 15000 square foot cafeteria, an outdoor terrace and a parking garage with 1400 parking spots. The expansion cost of the project is expected to be more than $100 million. DeAngelis Diamond which is based in North Naples is the general contractor of the project and Leo A Daly based in Nebraska is the architect of the project.
INNovation, a new hotel, is also part of the expansion project which will house visiting surgeons and other guests of Arthrex. The hotel, at the corner of Goodlette-Frank Road is a four story, 170000 square foot full service hotel containing about 160 rooms.
Gardiner further added:
“We are currently making ground improvements to the building pad and construction is expected to commence at the end of July.”
Arthrex plans to create 560 jobs by 2021 and will employ 1200 construction related jobs for the construction.
