NSSLGlobal, a UK based service provider of satellite communications and IT support, has expanded its global footprint by opening a new office in Haren, Germany. The office will be an extension of the Hamburg office and will serve the target German and Dutch customers in the offshore and commercial shipping industries – according to the company. The company believes that “Germany is one of the five biggest commercial maritime markets in the world, and a strategically important region for NSSLGlobal.
Henrik Christensen, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NSSLGlobal continental Europe cites the need for on-the-ground local sales support, need to serve existing customers and the need to attract new direct and channel partners as the key reasons for setting up the new office.
The Haren office is NSSLGlobal’s second office in Germany. The company also recently moved to larger premises in Singapore and opened a new South African office last year.
NSSLGlobal was established in 1969 as the satellite communications provider offering off-the-shelf or bespoke products and packages to suit clients’ needs. In 2014, NSSLGlobal merged with the ESL Group. NSSGlobal’s customers include a wide range of sectors including: mining, media, maritime (commercial and super yacht), fishing, government, oil and gas, energy, offshore and financial.
