CANADA > China’s Huawei to invest $212Mn in Canada with Ontario Government as partner in “5G Ontario” project


China based networking and telecommunications equipment and services Company-Huawei is set to invest $212 million in partnership with the Government of Ontario on “5G Ontario” Project. The government of Ontario will be investing $16 million on the project.

The investment by Huawei is supposed to create 250 new jobs for R&D in the province. Based on Huawei’s press release, the plan of the company is to invest up to $303 million in new 5G-related research initiatives in Ontario over the next five years.
