Austrian Cargo-partner is investing 15.3 million euro ($17.8 million) to construct a modern logistic center near Sofia International Airport that is expected to open in the beginning of 2018. The project is expected to create 20 new jobs and the investment is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its worldwide warehousing capabilities.
Containing 22,000 pallet slots on more than 16,500 meter square of storage space as well as 2,000 meter square of office space, this new facility will be added next to its old storage space of 10,000 meter square operating since 2015. The facility also has direct access to the metro station and railway line as well as easy access to the motorways Trakia (A1), Hemus (A2) and Struma (A3).
Especially suited for the storage of oversized cargo and spare part, the new facility will also include a customs bonded warehouse and the facility will also have separate section for the storage of temperature sensitive goods such as food with the temperature range between +10 and +20°C. This new warehouse will also include packaging, labeling, delivery and returns.
