China based China Natural Resources Inc.(CHNR) has acquired Bolivian Copper Smelter Planta Metalurgica Antay Pacha (“Antay Pacha”) for $1.54 Mn.
The smelter is expected to trial run as early as second quarter of 2017 while the commercial production is anticipated to start in the fourth quarter of 2017. The plant was designed with production capacity of 3,000 tons of copper cathodes per annum.

Antay Pacha is a Bolivian company that has involvement in activities related to mining, mineral processing, exploration, treatment, marketing, exporting of mineral and metals.
It mostly does extraction of non – ferrous metal ores in Bolivia.
