AUSTRALIA > UK based IHG is set to expand its portfolio of luxury resort in Australia with signing on Hayman Island

IHG is taking over the management of Hayman Island and re-branding it as “Hayman Island by InterContinental” in Australia. Set to open in 2019 the 166 room hotel is the only property on the 400 hectare island. The resort boast world- class facilities, rooms and suites is set on one of the most unique locations in the world. To access this island, one has to go through Hamilton Island and then is transported by either luxury vessel or helicopter.

Made possible through landmark agreement with Mulpha Australia Limited, IHG will continue a long term agreement to manage both InterContinental Sydney and InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort.

IHG is planning on a substantial investment in the upcoming years to refurbish and renew the hotels to elevate the status of luxury and sophistication in their properties.
